Rose was born in the Midwest and grew up with Motown and Disco. She studied French in Bordeaux, France where she learned firsthand about the Health and Beauty Industry. There she gained an appreciation for the art of self-care and self-preservation.
She moved to Toronto, Ontario, a cosmopolitan city, where she would take the train to Montreal, Quebec to pretend she was still in France, sipping wine and speaking French.
She raised a family in Supernatural British Columbia where she began meeting others in the Wellness Industry and Healing Arts Practices.
Her dedication to the healing of herself and others has led her to study with the best teachers of Shiatsu/Acupressure, Qigong, Tai Chi, Reiki, Massage and Kundalini Yoga.
Her love of the Pacific Ocean has brought her to live, work and travel to places as far north as Haida Gwaii, an archipelago off the coast of British Columbia, close to Alaska, to as far south as Del Mar, California where she can be found with her life partner and best friend, Rogelio, sitting in her chair, feet in the soft sand, gazing out at the ocean for hours on end.
Her dream was to become a Wellness Practitioner and along the way she supported herself and this dream by being a school teacher.
She is available now for services in R Salon and Day Spa with flexible hours so book now as this is going to be a fun ride!

Shiatsu is a Japanese therapeutic form of massage based on the acupressure system of points and meridians. It is the most well known form of Acupressure. Shiatsu treatments work directly on the meridian lines where the acupressure points lie. These points are the same as the points used in Acupuncture. The meridians are the channels of human energy (CHI or QI) that circulate through the points in specific anatomical patterns. They function to nourish the internal organs, muscles, nerves & vital centers of the body.
This ancient healing art acknowledges that body, mind and spirit are a unified whole, and that touching another human being is more than a purely physical act.
What is Reiki? What is Reiki? Reiki is a technique for healing and stress reduction that was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s. It is administered through the use of touch, a technique that has been practiced for thousands of years. Reiki is a simple yet powerful energy based modality that supports the body in healing itself. Reiki produces measurable results and clients often keep returning to experience the feelings of relaxation and well being that result from a Reiki treatment.
When a person receives Reiki, they are receiving energy to help restore their energy flow and remove energetic blockages in the body. Once the energy is free flowing, the physical organs and tissues are then able to complete their healing processes. In this way, Reiki directly addresses the source of illness, rather than the symptoms.
Who would benefit from a Reiki session? Since Reiki restores and enhances the flow of energy in the body, sessions are beneficial to everyone. Many people use Reiki for pain management, stress relief, to help heal physical injuries, or aid in the recovery of common or chronic illnesses; others are seeking to find their sense of purpose and meaning in life, or to overcome mental and emotional roadblocks. Some people use Reiki simply to relax and increase their overall well-being.
What happens during a session? During a session the client lays, fully clothed, on a treatment table. The Reiki practitioner’s hands remain in a stationary position for a period of time, lightly touching or slightly above the body. The practitioner moves through several hand positions, generally from head to toe, front to back. Reiki is not a massage; there is no manipulation of the skin or tissue.
How many sessions will I need? That depends on what you are working on. It is generally recommended that clients get 3 to 4 sessions in a period of ten days to two weeks to remove entrenched blocks in the body’s energy system; then once a week or every two weeks until the issue is resolved. Clients generally do not exceed 5 to 6 sessions in total, except in the case of chronic pain management and terminal illness. In these cases, more frequent sessions over a longer period of time may be useful.
